Next week is Homecoming week! Although we cannot host a dance or parade this year, we still want to honor some homecoming traditions. On Thursday THIS week, you will be nominating students for the Homecoming court. Look for the Google Form on Thursday and make your nominations from 7 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. We will also have a SPIRIT WEEK next week with themes announced later this week. Stay tuned!

● All Students must have their updated immunizations and/or exemption form to the Clinic by this Friday, September 18, 2020 in order to come to school on Monday. We will miss you if you’re not here!
● Yearbook orders are $55 if ordered by October 2nd. After that, the price increases, so turn those orders in early!

Kenston Academy is open for business! Stop in The Hub every Monday through Thursday after school from 2:20 to 3:20 to meet with a tutor or just use the space to work. All topics will be covered and no appointment is necessary. Be sure to take advantage of this great resource!
SENIORS, REQUIRED VACCINE: All seniors are required to have proof of the meningococcal vaccine on file in the clinic PRIOR TO the beginning of the 2020-21 school year. By state law, students will not be allowed to stay in school longer than 14 school days unless proof has been received on all required immunizations. Note: students who had the first dose prior to age 16 must have the second dose before entering 12th grade. Documentation can be a signed note from the physician’s office or an immunization summary printout. Proof must include the month, day, and year of the dose. Deadline: Friday, September 18th.
SENIOR PORTRAITS: Senior portrait specifications for other Photographers: Size—no less than 300 dpi. Pose—only traditional full color portrait, head and shoulders only. Background—must be on the spectrum from cobalt to navy blue (no light blue). No hats, props, hands or inappropriate clothing. Submit your photograph electronically by email attachment to: firstname.lastname@example.org or on a CD. Under no circumstances will a senior portrait be scanned from a print. College Financial Aid – Lake/Geauga Educational Assistance Foundation (LEAF) is a non-profit organization that provides guidance on college financial aid. Kenston’s LEAF advisor is Mrs. Renee Morgan and is available for virtual student/family meetings regarding the FAFSA, the CSS profile, scholarships, loans and college application and funding information. Mrs. Morgan will host a virtual presentation on financial aid this month for all junior and senior families. Topics will include how your current financial situation can affect selecting a college and a timeline of the financial aid process. A link to the video will be sent in the near future. Due to Covid and under an agreement between Kenston and other schools in the Western Reserve Conference, two tickets for each football, soccer and volleyball athlete, cheerleader, dance team and band member will be sold for home games. Two tickets per player also will be sold for away conference games.
