On Tuesday, October 26, the Kenston Girls Soccer Team played Notre Dame Cathedral Latin High School at Bomber Stadium for the District Semi Final game. The team came out victorious with another win and shut out against the Lions with a score of 3-0. After the first half, the Bombers were winning 1-0, with a goal scored by sophomore, Ramsey Smith. By the end of the game, 2 more goals were scored, by sophomore Paige Spicuzza, and junior Lily Peters. Assists were from sophomore Emma Gaskin (2), and Sophia Mighton (1). Senior Captain Natalie Adante had 4 saves throughout the match in goal.
The girls wore their pink ribbons and face paint for the third time this month, to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The Lady Bombers improved their record to 15-3, and made history. The 2020 Kenston Girls Soccer holds the new school record for the highest number of wins in a season (15).This is also the first time ever that the Kenston Girls Soccer Team has moved on to compete in a District Championship.
The Bombers’ next game is on Thursday, October 29, on the road against Canfield High School to compete for a District Title.
