Rescue efforts are still ongoing throughout the week as Hurricane Zeta made landfall in Louisiana, on Wednesday afternoon. The Category 2 storm brought strong gusts of wind and left nearly 2 million to be without power. The hurricane struck Louisiana’s coast with winds of 110 mph, landing near Cocodrie, in Terrebonne Parish. Its eye then pushed inland over New Orleans and neighboring areas before rushing on to Mississippi and nearby states. At least 6 deaths are being blamed on the storm as of now. This comes at a very unfortunate time as many are trying to vote and cannot anymore due to the power outages in voting facilities.
