Seniors: The last day to order your cap and gown without incurring a late fee is Monday, December 14th.

Trivia Club will be participating in their first virtual tournament on Saturday, Dec 12th. If you are interested in joining please contact Mr. Koltas.

The 2021 Aerial Photograph IS SUSPENDED UNTIL SPRING OF 2021

The end-of-course testing will take place from Wednesday, December 9 through Friday, December 18. This schedule only pertains to students currently enrolled in the following courses for this semester or who have been contacted to re-take an exam. The testing schedule is listed below for your reference:

Wednesday, December 9: ELA II – Part 1
Thursday, December 10: Am. Government
Friday, December 11: ELA II – Part 2

Tuesday, December 15: Am. History
Wednesday, December 16: Biology
Thursday, December 17: Algebra
Friday, December 18: Geometry

All testing will begin with a 7:45 a.m. start time. Students will be assigned to testing locations based on the following information:

AB Room – “Virtual” Students
The Hub- Students testing with accommodations
Aux Gym – Students with last names “A – K”
Cafe – Students with last names “L – Z”

Google classrooms for tutoring are available. Email Sarah.Morin@kenstonapps.org. You can reach out and make arrangements to meet virtually with a peer tutor, or if you need help with organization, you can reach out to Mrs. Morin via email and to set up a time to meet on Google Classroom.

SENIOR PORTRAITS
Senior portrait specifications for other Photographers: Size—no less than 300 dpi. Pose—only traditional full color portrait, head and shoulders only. Background—must be on the spectrum from cobalt to navy blue (no light blue). No hats, props, hands or inappropriate clothing. Submit your photograph electronically by email attachment to: justin.fodor@kenstonapps.org or on a CD. Under no circumstances will a senior portrait be scanned from a print. ATTENTION JUNIORS!!! CALVIN COOLIDGE PRESIDENTIAL FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP. A full-ride scholarship covering tuition, room, board and expenses for four years of undergraduate study for any current JUNIOR students entering college in fall 2022. YOUNG AMERICAN CREATIVE PATRIOTIC ART CONTEST SCHOLARSHIP For GRADES 9-12.

2021 Reynolds Young Writers Residential Workshop – June 20-27, 2021. Applications begin online 1/6/21-3/7/21. Rising high school juniors and seniors attend this 8-day residential creative writing program at Denison University in Granville (25 miles east of Columbus). LEAF
College Financial Aid – Lake/Geauga Educational Assistance Foundation (LEAF) is a non-profit organization that provides guidance on college financial aid. Kenston’s LEAF advisor is Mrs. Renee Morgan and is available for virtual student/family meetings regarding the FAFSA, the CSS profile, scholarships, loans and college application and funding information. Mrs. Morgan will host a virtual presentation on financial aid this month for all junior and senior families. Topics will include how your current financial situation can affect selecting a college and a timeline of the financial aid process. A link to the video will be sent in the near future. To arrange an individual appointment during the day or in the evening, please contact Mrs. Morgan directly at rmorgan@leaf-ohio.org.
