Luci Blazek, joined by her parents, Kimberly and Bill Blazek. Luci is a 3-year member of the basketball cheer team. She is also a member of the football cheer squad and the track team at KHS. Luci is currently undecided on her plans after graduation. She would like to thank you to her parents and Coach for their constant support and encouragement.
Lynae Hairston, accompanied by her parents, Lynette and Robert Hairston. Lynae is in her first year as a member of the cheer team for basketball. This fall, she will be attending Case Western University and will major in nursing. Lynae wants to thank her parents for supporting her and Coach Timmons for making sure we had games to cheer at this year.
Jenna Morton, joined by her parents, Dawn and Mark Morton. Jenna is a 2-year member of the basketball cheerleading team. After graduation, she plans on attending Youngstown State University to follow her career path of becoming an Orthodontist. She would like to thank her parents who have supported her throughout the school year. She would also like to take the time to thank her coaches who have helped her and who have always lifted her up. She finally would like to thank her teammates for being her best friends and the captains for leading the team.
Qianna Scarpa who is escorted tonight by her parents, Maria and Frank Scarpa. Qiana is a 3-year member of the cheer team for basketball and has also been a 4-year member of the football cheer squad. After graduation, she plans on attending a 4-year college to study nursing. She would like to say thank you to her parents for always supporting her.
Elizabeth “Hope” Wolf, joined by her parents, Kasandra and Brian Wolf. Hope is a 2-year member of the basketball cheer team and has also been a member of the football cheer team. She has previously been a WRC Scholar Athlete for cheer. After graduation, she is unsure where she will attend school but will major in nursing. Hope would like to thank her parents for giving her the resources needed to succeed in life. Her coaches for pushing her to become the best athlete possible. And her friends for making high school the experience everyone deserves to have even if this year was not what any of us expected.
Quinn Stavnicky joined tonight by his parents, Jolie and Mike Stavnicky. Quinn is a 4-year member of the basketball team with this year being his first on varsity. In the fall, Quinn will attend Ohio University to major in finance. He would like to say thank you to his Mom and Dad for being his biggest fans and making him the person that he is today.
Kyle Quinlan, accompanied by his parents, Mary Jo and Michael Quinlan. Kyle has been a 4-year member of the basketball team, playing 3 years on Varsity and 1 on JV. He is also a member of the KHS soccer and baseball teams. Some of Kyle’s accomplishments for basketball include WRC All Conference, WRC & Kenston Scholar Athlete, News Herald All Star Honor Roll, and All Northeast Lakes District Honorable Mention. After graduation, he plans on attending college but is undecided as to where. Kyle wants to say Thank you to his parents for being his biggest cheerleaders and also thanks to Coach D for always pushing and bringing out the best in him.
Ethan Thorne joined by his parents, Jennifer and Ron Thorne. Ethan is a 3-year member of the basketball team, playing all 3 years on varsity. He has previously been named WRC Honorable Mention and a WRC Scholar Athlete. Ethan is currently undecided where he will attend college in the fall but plans on majoring in nursing. He would would like to thank his parents for rebounding for him countless times outside, Coach D for persuading me to purchase a mirror in order to look deeper into myself after a tough loss, senior Kyle Quinlan for never failing to take the majority of insults from opposing student sections away from me, and all of his other coaches he had along the way.
Jack Turk accompanied by his parents, Deborah and Christopher Turk. Jack is a 4-year member of the basketball team, playing 3 years on JV and 1 year on Varsity. Jack will graduate as a 9-time letterwinner earning 4 varsity letters in Cross Country and 4 in track along with 1 for basketball. Last winter, he was the leading scorer on the JV team. After graduation, Jack will attend The Ohio State University but is undecided on his major. He would like to thank his parents and coaches who supported him for the 6 years he played Kenston Basketball.
