Announcements For September 14, 2021

DAILY CAFÉ MENÚ: Taco’s

Attention Students: Your 2021-2022 Student ID’s have been distributed and your old student ID will be obsolete as of Wednesday, 9/15. At this time, we encourage all students to download the Infinite Campus app on your phone so that you can use the barcode located on your screen to sign in and out should you not have your student I.D. on you.

The Pulse Writing Club, a creative writing group, will meet on TODAY, in Ms. Joyce’s room A113 at 2:30 until 3:15. If you are interested in all types of creative writing, the Pulse Writing Club is the spot for you. See Ms. Joyce in A113 should you have any questions.

There will be an informational meeting about starting a Business/Investing Club on Wednesday, September 15, during homeroom in Room C223. Please see Mr. Kepreos or Brandon Cloud if you have any questions.

PACK is meeting on Wednesday during Homeroom in A210. We need help at Candidates’ night so if you can’t make the meeting let Mrs. Smith know.

Spanish Club is meeting during Homeroom on Wednesday. You do not need to know spanish to join.

Reminder: Open Gym is after school on Monday’s and Wednesday’s during the month of September.

Anyone interested in joining Speech and Debate can attend a meeting on Friday, September 17th after school in the lower A Computer Lab and on Monday, September 20th during homeroom in the lower A Computer Lab. No prior experience is necessary and all are welcome to attend.

The NHS Interview Sign-up Sheet is outside of the Guidance office for any students who filled out an NHS packet. Signup dates are Monday September 20th and Tuesday September 21 from 2:30 – 4:45 on both days with only 5 minute interviews.

Attention Students: NHS will be putting on a Talent Show on Saturday, October 23rd. I know that seems like a long way away, BUT, you have time to think about a routine and gather a few friends to get your “act” together! We want you to show off your talent!

The Junior Class is selling candy for $1.00. See a Junior Class Officer or go to room A118, Mrs. J. Joyce’s room!

KENSTON ACADEMY
Is open for business! Stop in the Hub every Monday through Thursday after school from 2:15 to 3:30 to meet with a tutor or just use the space to work. All topics will be covered and no appointment is necessary. Be sure to take advantage of this great resource.

SENIOR PORTRAITS
Senior portrait specifications for other Photographers: Size—no less than 300 dpi. Pose—only traditional full color portrait, head and shoulders only. Background—must be on the spectrum from cobalt to navy blue (no light blue). No hats, props, hands or inappropriate clothing. Submit your photograph electronically by email attachment to: justin.fodor@kenstonapps.org or on a CD. Under no circumstances will a senior portrait be scanned from a print. Any questions, see Mr. Fodor, room A114. (Photographers commonly used: Ripcho, Venditti, New Direction, Palmieri and Slezak). Deadline is January 24, 2022.

Order your yearbook at www.jostens.com by 10/1/21 for the lowest price of $55 before 10/1/21. [On 10/2 yearbooks are $65 until 12/17/21. Price goes up to $75 on 12/18/21.]
