DAILY CAFÉ MENÚ: Mac & Cheese

Attention ALL 11th and 12th grade students: Please take a few minutes RIGHT NOW to complete the CCR day follow up form located on the Student Portal page. All juniors and seniors must complete this form, even if you tested yesterday!

PTO is passing out free ice cream sandwiches to all students during their lunch time in the cafeteria today!

Attention Seniors: On Monday, October 18th at 10:30 a.m. we will do an Aerial Photo (during HR) at the stadium.

There will be a Science Olympiad meeting for all KHS students participating in the B or C division on Monday, October 18th during homeroom in Dr. Colicchio’s room B128.

KENSTON ACADEMY
Is open for business! Stop in the Hub every Monday through Thursday after school from 2:15 to 3:30 to meet with a tutor or just use the space to work. All topics will be covered and no appointment is necessary. Be sure to take advantage of this great resource.

SENIOR PORTRAITS
Senior portrait specifications for other Photographers: Size—no less than 300 dpi. Pose—only traditional full color portrait, head and shoulders only. Background—must be on the spectrum from cobalt to navy blue (no light blue). No hats, props, hands or inappropriate clothing. Submit your photograph electronically by email attachment to: justin.fodor@kenstonapps.org or on a CD. Under no circumstances will a senior portrait be scanned from a print. Any questions, see Mr. Fodor, room A114. (Photographers commonly used: Ripcho, Venditti, New Direction, Palmieri and Slezak). Deadline is January 24, 2022.

GUIDANCE NEWS:

All students interested in submitting essays for the Chagrin Falls VFW essay contest scholarship on what the flag of the U.S. means to them, should email Mrs. Hanzak at linda.hanzak@kenstonapps.org. She will be the collection point for the submissions. Don’t forget your full name, phone number and address. Deadline is October 15th.

There are two scholarships sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars that are available for all grades 9-12. One is an essay due Oct. 31. The other is an art contest, due March 31, 2022. See Guidance for details.

Did you attend the Bomber Bash Golf outing?! If you did, and are not on Lead Crew, be sure to pick up your community service hour sheet from the guidance office to submit and get credit for your hours! You earned it! There are quite a few left in the office!

ATHLETIC NEWS:

The girls soccer team defeated Willoughby South 9-0 Tuesday night to earn their 4th consecutive WRC Championship! The team is now 13-0-2 on the season and ranked 5th in the state in Division 2. They’ll wrap up the regular season tonight with the team’s Kick for the Cure game at home at 7:30pm against Shaker Heights.
