On Saturday, March 2nd, the Kenston Indoor Track Team competed at the OATCCC Division 1 Indoor State Championship Meet at Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio. Kenston sent 11 athletes to the State Meet! On the girls side, athletes Izzy Gabram (4x200m), Elyse Myles (4x200m, 4x400m), Rhianna Patrick (4x200m, 4x400m), Megan Randall (4x200m), Jocelyn Van Skyhock (400m, 4x400m), and Bri Yurkovich (4x400m) competed. On the boys side, athletes Luke Dunnam (4x800m), Jakob McConnell (3200m), Joe Morrell (4x800m), David Rosinski (4x800m), and Joe Secura (4x800m) competed. The boys 4x800m relay team placed 23rd overall. Freshman Jocelyn Van Skyhock placed 20th overall individually in the 400m dash. The girls 4x400m relay team placed 16th overall and the 4x200m relay team placed 9th overall just missing the podium. Senior Jakob McConnell placed 3rd overall in the 3200m run earning All-Ohio and a spot on the podium! The team did very well against tough competition. Running against not only the best in the state, but nationally ranked competitors.
With the Indoor Track season flying by, tonight is the last regular season meet at Spire Institute for the season.
