Newsflash: Spring Break in Miami

Miami Beach Declares State of Emergency to Reduce Spring Break Crowds

Summary: Due to spring break for many schools and colleges, Miami Beach is filling up. The state of concern has caused restrictions and a curfew to be put in place. Many arrests have taken place because of people not following these restrictions. Florida was one of the first states to open everything back up so many people decided to vacation there. Overall, this may not have been a great idea and again, restrictions are being put back in place.

Response: I think Florida should have stayed closed longer. Although their numbers may have been down, with spring break coming up many people were going to travel there. This caused beaches to fill up and people to not follow protocol. The police are trying to do their part to separate the people, but they can’t be the only ones working at this. I think the vacationers should do their part and try their best to stay away from other groups. This will help cases decrease so that soon we can return to normalcy.
