The French Club at Kenston High School is very active! We usually meet once a month during homeroom and try to have an after school activity, as well.
All students whether or not they enrolled in French class are eligible to join French Club. The students get a chance to explore “la vie francaise” through a series of cultural activities. Among the different social and cultural activities is a sampling of French cuisine at a “gouter.” We celebrate “L’Halloween” and learn about All Saints Day in October. At the winter Holidays we learn about the cake shaped like a Yuletide log with is called “la buche de Noel.” We make Mardi Gras Masks and French Valentines in February.
We watch French movies, play French board games and dance to French music. This year, we are planning a trip to Quebec City in June and will be enjoying a French meal at the Paris Room!
Please see Mme. Wahl in room C-217 anytime! A Bientot!
