Most meetings are during the first or last Wednesday of the month, but meeting times vary.

-Russia launched the world's first satellite, called Sputnik, in 1957.
-St. Petersburg's State Hermitage Museum has cats that protect the art from rodents.
-In the USSR, many prisoners got tattoos of Stalin and Lenin because guards were not allowed to shoot at pictures of national leaders.
-Russia is bigger than Pluto!
-During Peter the Great's reign, there was a beard tax for anyone with a beard.
-Since 1959 foxes have been domesticated like dogs.
-Raisa Gorbachev, former Russian First Lady, once claimed to a British official that there were over 300 ways to cook a potato in Russia. In order to prove her point, she mailed him a potato cookbook with a note saying she was wrong...there were actually over 500.
